With the release of his new album, Mourning In America and Dreaming In Color, Brother Ali is hitting the tour route again. He stopped by Club Red in Tempe, AZ on Saturday, September 15, 2012 and blew the crowd away.

Brother Ali has been on the circuit for years, constantly touring. But what was new this time around? He was backed by a full band. And he made his own beats. It is hard to come by an artist as humble as Ali, especially when he is controlling the musical beast behind him and at his finger tips. He gave much love to Slug from Atmosphere who gave Ali his start and picked him off the street. He gave love to his ex-wife who shaped him into the man his is today. He gave love to the crowd and fans all over the world. Ali rapped out from almost all of his albums spanning The Undisputed Truth, to Us, to his new album which dropped today. He played crowd favorites, his favorites, and the like – all which tell a story. Most of them are about his life as an albino Muslim artist.

This is where Brother Ali shines and becomes just that, a brother. He dubs himself the “street preacher” for a good reason. Brother Ali teaches the crowd from his mistakes. He tells tales of how he learned to live and learn and love. Everyone gets involved. “Love. Don’t say it like a hippie. Say it like a gangster. Deep down low. Love.” With Brother Ali repeating his teachings over and over, people started to understand. Through his teaching through albums, tours, and MCing, Brother Ali is out to change the nation.

Rhymesayers Entertainment has always put on the best live shows I have ever seen. Everything is large scale, yet still accessible to everyone. All of the acts are professional and love doing what they do. They also partner with the best to promote. Universatile Music is putting on the best hip hop music around. Brother Ali is only the start to one of the biggest years in music around.
